MIRA (Migration, Immigration, Refugee, Asylee) Fund

The MIRA (Migration, Immigration, Refugee and Asylee) Fund allows the United Church of Christ to welcome the stranger in all times and to live out its deep history of commitment to loving our neighbor and creating a just world for all. This fund supports direct services and advocacy for migrants, immigrants, refugees, and asylees, and others impacted by human migration. As the name MIRA suggests, this fund is an affirmation that the church both sees and accompanies the sojourners among us.

100% of funds designated for the MIRA Fund to the United Church of Christ are used for newcomer support services and advocacy and accompaniment programming in the congregational, association, and conference settings. These activities aspire to center the voices and experiences of migrants, immigrants, refugees, and asylees, advocate for more just immigration policies and laws, and provide financial support for direct services that respond to the harmful impact of racist ideology and enforcement in U.S. immigration policy.
